From Ray Riehle today: My Voter Information Guide and Sample Ballot were delivered to me yesterday. When I looked at it last night, I was amazed by what I saw. Congressman Bera and I are the only candidates who paid the $18,000 to include a ballot statement. This tells me the other 4 candidates are not serious about the campaign. Voters deserve to know something about the candidates they have to choose from and a ballot statement is something that every voter should read. You can learn a lot about someone by what they say. Congressman Bera writes that he is "most proud" of helping "tens of thousands of local taxpayers" to get 16.5 Million Dollars of their own money back in the last ten years. For the sake of discussion, let's say he has helped 30,000 people over ten years. $16,500,000 divided by 30,000 is $550 per claim! After 10 years in Congress, I expect more! He should have worked hard to drive down the cost of groceries, gas, housing and healthcare for everyone in the district! That would be a worthy accomplishment. Instead, he talks about helping struggling families. He is "dedicated to addressing these and many other needs". If he hasn't helped us in the last 10 years, why would we expect him to help us in the next 2 years? His time is up! Retire Bera and give me a chance to lower the cost of groceries, gas, housing, and healthcare. On March 5th, Vote for someone who Really Cares about your bottom line! -Ray Here's our Ballot Statements, side by side. You can see the differences for yourself. My campaign needs your help! Help me retire Ami Bera!

Ray is happy to share he and his wife have moved from their home in Orangevale to Mitchell Village in Citrus Heights!
Check out the Citrus Heights Sentinel story here! Here is a prime example of government waste, and off-base policy proposed at the Capitol site. Take a look at these images of the proposed Capitol Annex replacement buildings. Much larger, with a glass exterior, overpowering the historic 1860's Capitol, and diminishing the view of the architectural front - all approaches that the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties states are NOT RECOMMENDED. A commitment to follow The Standards was made in the project's Environmental Impact Report. Judge for yourself how well the Joint Rules Committee is following the Standards. A local charity, Ukrainian American House, seems like a great opportunity for people of our community to chip in and help with a locally formed group from Sacramento. You can find them here at their website: Ukrainian American House | Nonprofit | United States (uahouse.org) |
